Tipling
Tipling is a remote Himalayan valley, made up of about 15 villages in north-eastern Nepal.
The inhabitants call themselves ‘in-betweens’ – that is, between Kathmandu and Tibet.
From Kathmandu it is a one day drive and then two days by foot. It is only accessible through the high mountain passes, which are often blocked during the heavy monsoon rains or the severe winter months.
